Assembly Steps

  1. Cut the pieces on your cutting machine. If you are using a Cricut machine to print then cut the label, make sure to check the sizing; the tag should be 3x1.4 inches.

  2. Fold and score the card base. Glue the white insert inside the card base.

  3. Glue the acetate to the dark pink front piece that creates the outline of the bottle. Remember to peel off the protective layer on your acetate, if the brand you are using has it.

  4. Glue the dark brown and light brown cork pieces together.

  5. Glue the cork to the backside of the bottle outline.

Tip: Check the alignment of the cork against the card base before glueing. Otherwise you may glue the cork lower or higher than the cork shaped area on the card base.

  6. Cut a piece of yarn or string about 6 inches long and thread it through the printed and cut potion label. Tie a knot at the end.

  7. Apply the double-sided foam tape all around the heart shape of the dark pink bottle outline piece. Make sure that you don’t have any gaps or shaker bits might leak out. Don’t peel off the layer of paper protecting the sticky top of the foam yet!

  8. Add some foam to the back of the cork and neck of the potion bottle outline so that the entire piece will be supported by foam once attached to the card base.

  9. Put the loop of the potion label over the neck of the bottle on the front piece. snip off any excess loose ends of the yarn past the knot. Line the knot with one of the sides of the potion bottle neck and glue the knot down. This will help hold the label in place and make sure the knot doesn’t slip down and become visible.

  10. Now peel the protective layer on top side of the foam tape.

  11. Carefully add your filler to the center of the heart-shaped foam tape area.

  12. Grab the card base and hold it facing you so that it opens correctly. Now flip the card base facedown and hover it over the card front. Carefully algin the base with the card front and then press down firmly.

Make sure that you line up the base exactly before touching it down to the card front. Once the foam tape touches the base, it is stuck.

  13. Flip your card over and give it a good shake. Enjoy!
